Welcome to ParkeFlyer. We want to thank everyone for all your support! Since 2012 we have had a great time bringing you specialized RC gear. As many of you know, we have taken a hiatus from the retail business and are no longer stocking inventory. We are still avid hobbyist flying as much as we can, but the business side of our hobby was taking too much time from our families and… well… our flying time. We've got some ideas for relaunching the store supporting the new areas our hobby is taking us, but for now, nothing to announce.

Our specialty was the 9x radio and all the upgrades. We still fly this radio and love it. However, new radios are on the market that we happily recommend. For the low budget, we recommend the Turnigy 9XR because it's basically a 9x with the firmware already upgraded. Get a USBasp updater so you can take full advantage of the open source software available. Plus it doesn't come with a radio module, so it makes it super easy to use the FrSKY modules, which we highly recommend. You can get the 9XR from HobbyKing, and the FrSky modules from Aloft Hobbies.

If you want a really nice radio that is still economical, we highly recommend the other radio we fly with… the FrSKY Taranis. This radio is everything the 9x is, but with a ton more features and excellent build quality. Plus, it talks to you. How cool is that?? This radio is also available from Aloft Hobbies.

Our most popular item was the DIY 9x Upgrade Kit. The main component of this kit was the SmartieParts upgrade board. This board is still available from the designer! --SmartieParts-- Also our "how-to" videos for installing the board and firmware are available on YouTube. Links are below.
